ABOUT NINE MILE MAGAZINE

Our mission is to publish great writing and artwork, with a special focus on Central New York.
We publish twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall.
Our name comes from Nine Mile Creek, a 25-mile long waterway formed 14,000 years ago by glaciers in our region.  Like our namesake creek, Nine Mile is varied and surprising,
with different writings and arts coming together to form a cohesive whole.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

The magazine is one part of our effort.  We also produce
the Talk About Poetry Blog and podcasts on iTunes or at Soundcloud, where working poets engage in a freewheeling discussion of poems that interest us.  Our book series is linked above, and books are available here, and on Amazon.

SUBMISSIONS

For poetry submit 4 – 6 poems in word or text formats, no PDF.. Please look at our format before you submit.  We include artist’s bios, pictures, and aesthetic statements to help the reader encountering your work for the first time.  We do not accept essays, reviews, video / motion based art, or Q&A’s at this time.

Submissions should be done via email to: editor@ninemile.org
